Crocheting with purpose
Crochet has given me a way to turn something I love into something meaningful. I’m proud to create crocheted seahorses for the Sea of Hope Foundation, which supports families navigating pregnancy and infant loss. These little seahorses are included in bereavement boxes delivered to hospitals in Maryland & Delaware, offering a small reminder to families that they aren’t alone.
The Sea of Hope Foundation: Bereavement Boxes
The Sea of Hope Foundation provides thoughtfully prepared bereavement boxes to hospitals and NICUs, filled with meaningful keepsakes and resources to support families navigating the heartbreak of pregnancy and infant loss. The boxes also include children's grief books to help siblings begin to understand and process their loss. Jennifer's crocheted seahorses are tucked into these boxes as a small, handmade keepsake for families to hold onto during an incredibly difficult time.

About the Foundation
The Sea of Hope Foundation, Inc. is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting families navigating the heartbreak of pregnancy and infant loss. Through compassionate care, education, and financial assistance, the foundation helps families feel less alone as they navigate grief and find their way forward.
Based in Maryland, Sea of Hope offers support groups for grieving parents, dads, and bereaved siblings.
Through these efforts, Sea of Hope brings comfort, connection, and hope to families when they need it most.
